Co-production means that people affected by breast cancer work with us as equal partners. They have a say in the decisions that are made. And they help us think of new and innovative ways that we can be here for everyone affected by breast cancer.This #CoProWeek, Michaela and Zoe, our Here for You team, talk about their lived experience project group and the impact it’s had on the referral pathway.“It's important that we’re guided by the people that we want to support. And that we give them a voice and the power to make those decisions. So we wanted to have a group of people who have experienced breast cancer to help us co-create everything we do.“Sharing power and making decisions together helps us make informed decisions about what will work. And we’re able to reach more people and help more people get the support they need because of that.“Having that voice of experience is something that we should have as standard in in all that we do.
